Welcome to Fadeaway Detailing
A little about who we are
Michael And Eric met in July of 2018 while attending the 2018 Air Force One Detailing Team. The team works every year to preserve, restore, and protect 17+ Aircrafts at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington. While getting to know each other that week and discussing what Atlanta is lacking in the detailing industry. They decided it would be best to join together both of their businesses and create a truly professional detailing experience.
Eric has been detailing for 6+ years, He started out from day 1, as an Enthusiast. Being an Enthusiast is the driving force of his business model. His aim is to never fall to the "hype" and bring real world information to a client. Allowing them to make the best decision for their own vehicle. Eric has never went along with the hype of the industry and always tests products before using them on clients vehicles. Finding what truly works best, and not just reading off of a box is very important. "As a detailer, we are working with a chemistry set. All of our products interact with each other and other surfaces. We have to understand what we are using and on what surface, to do our job well, while protecting your vehicle and achieve the desired results. It is much deeper then the old school thought of a detailer just washes a car and throws some wax on it."
Michael has been detailing for 20 years. An enthusiast at heart, you can find Michael often at the racetrack. Not far from the functional aspect, he has been involved in car shows, and doing show car prep for the length of his career.Michael also has a background in Engineering and Physics. While working one day, Michael decided to use the tools at his disposal to find the best ceramic coating on the market. He grabbed every big name over the counter coating and ran them through a weathering machine, then tested temperature drop, drag test, and a PH scale test. Not being to impressed at the results he sought out professional level ceramic coatings to do further testing on. (More on this under the Coatings tab) Michael's knowledge and understanding of chemical makeup of compounds. Gives him a deeper look into how to clean, protect, and restore you vehicles interior and exterior to the best it could be.
With this new found information and seeing the advantages of joining together. A truly unique experience, two members of the Air force One Detailing Team.
